Growing up without a father is very painful. I, Greg, know because I suffered and still suffer to some degree the confusion of growing up without a dad. My father died when I was seven years old.
It is very difficult for single parents to raise children. I know of some of the struggles and heartaches a single parent endures from watching what my mom went through. When Dad died, Mom was left to raise eight children under the age of twelve.
Mom was a single parent who held a full time job and raised her children to be respectful and responsible. And raise them she did, as she says, “by God’s grace.” Mom has passed, but she has left behind a huge legacy. In addition to her seven living children, there are six wonderful daughter-in-laws, one great son-in-law, twenty grandchildren, and over fifty great grandchildren with more on the way. She is still admired and honored by all.
I, Connie, similarly, know the painful feelings of losing a father. My loving dad died when I was seventeen. I saw the grief my mother went through after my father’s death, and it has had a profound effect upon my life. My parents loved family and instilled in me, not only a love for the Lord, but also a love for and commitment to family.
Out of these humble family roots, God called Christian Families Today into existence. God has given us a passion to biblically coach, mentor, counsel, and train disciples in His most wonderful grace so that they may experience intimate, loving, healthy, relationships with God, themselves, family, and others.
We are Greg and Connie Brezina, the co-founders of Christian Families Today. On behalf of CFT’s board of directors and staff, we welcome you to Christian Families Today. Our desire is that no matter what brought you here or how long you stay, you will find a safe place to receive from God, grow, learn, heal, and rest in His marvelous love and grace.
