Life Coaching

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What are the benefits of coaching?

A coaching relationship will help you realize your stated purpose in a more efficient and effective manner than doing so by yourself.  More efficiency means greater achievement with less investment in time, money, and exploration (trial and error).  More effectiveness means a greater chance of identifying exactly what God wants you to do and where God is leading you.

Here are some examples of what a coach can provide:

  • Unconditional support and consistent encouragement
  • An advocate who will challenge you to reach for the stars and call out the very best in you
  • Practical techniques for redefining priorities, reinforcing control of your schedule and leading a healthy, balanced life
  • The insight and perspective you need to take on the negative voices that hold you back
  • An environment of acceptance where you can brainstorm, strategize, and envision your ideal future without inhibitions
  • Goal-setting and action-planning structures to convert your dreams into realities

Q: How long does the process take?

This depends on whether you choose to pursue a specific goal, or discover your Life Purpose.  Pursuing a specific goal can take 4 to 8 sessions, depending on the scope of the goal you choose.

Discovering your Life Purpose can take 12 to 15 sessions, with 13 being the average.  This process will involve two important steps – understanding your identity and purpose.

Q: How much will this cost?

As a non-profit organization, CFT has no set fees* for its coaching, mentoring, and counseling services. However, CFT does depend upon the financial donations it receives from clients and others to operate. Therefore, clients are encouraged to participate financially with a suggested donation of $95 per hour. The Bible states in I Corinthians 9:11 that "if we sowed spiritual things in you, is it too much if we should reap material things from you?"

*There is a Spiritual Gift and Personality Assessment that costs $15, and an optional assessment called “Strengthsfinder”, that may be necessary for $15.

Q: Do you have a sliding scale?

Yes. The Bible says in II Corinthians 9 that a donation is acceptable according to what a man or woman has, not according to what he or she does not have. Therefore, no one will be refused coaching because of their inability to make a donation. If needed, the financial policy will be discussed further during the first session.

Q: Does CFT offer coaching for both men and women?

Currently CFT only offers coaching for men because of coaching staff limitations. We hope to provide life coaching for women in the future as we increase our coaching staff.

Q: What if I have to cancel my coaching appointment?

If you need to cancel or reschedule your coaching appointment, please let us know 24 hours in advance in order for us to make that time slot available to someone else.
